In 2020, we were honored to win the Indiana Governor’s Workplace Safety Award and to date, are the only Staffing agency to do so. The annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Award (GWSA) provides recognition for companies based on best practices for eliminating workplace injuries and illnesses, and salutes those who have made safety and health a top priority.

This award recognizes organizations that have made employee safety and health a deep-rooted component of their culture.

Since the implementation of our in-depth Safety training and orientation program, our mod rate has dropped significantly, in 2023 it is 0.53, reflecting on the decreased costs and intensity of our claims.

President and Founder of Leaders Staffing

Nate Golm

Nate Golm, President and Founder of Leaders Staffing, established the company in 2005 with a vision that has transformed it into one of the region's largest employers. A Purdue University graduate with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Nate combines his technical expertise with strategic leadership, holding both SPHR designation and Six Sigma Black Belt certification. His passion for servant leadership has shaped Leaders Staffing's culture of genuine care for coworkers, employees, clients, and community. When not providing strategic direction for the organization, Nate, a licensed pilot, enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and outdoor activities.

Director of Operations

Ashleigh Smid

As Director of Operations, Ashleigh brings a comprehensive understanding of Leaders Staffing's operations, having worked her way through every position in the Operations Division. With a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration & Accounting and seven years of restaurant management experience, she leads operational teams across eight locations. Under her leadership, the company has expanded to three new locations in three years. Ashleigh values the organization's servant heart culture and thrives in its fast-paced environment. Outside of work, she's an avid reader and proud caretaker of her family's 18 pets.

Director of Sales

Jennifer Hout

Jennifer, Director of Sales with over 20 years in staffing sales experience, manages the sales team and direct hire division while maintaining strong client relationships. Her authentic approach to problem-solving and relationship building reflects Leaders Staffing's core values. Jennifer's enthusiasm for creating special moments extends beyond her professional life – she's known for going above and beyond in making Christmas memorable for her family and enjoys traveling to sunny destinations when not competing in ping pong matches with her grandson.

Director of People and Culture

Kristen Payne

Kristen, Director of People & Culture, holds a BS in Business Accounting along with PHR and SHRM-CP certifications. Her role focuses on enhancing company culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing learning programs that promote employee growth. A self-described adventurer and thrill seeker, Kristen's passion for serving others aligns perfectly with Leaders Staffing's values. When not working, she enjoys traveling with family, exercising, outdoor activities, attending sporting events, and serving at church.

Director of Safety and Claims Manager

Tambi Kiefer

Tambi brings 35 years of healthcare expertise to her role as Safety Director and Claims Manager. A Registered Nurse with a BS in Education and QMHP certification, she led the Safety Team to win the Governor's Workplace Safety Award for Education & Outreach in 2020 – a first for any staffing agency. Her diverse background in MedSurg and Occupational Health perfectly aligns with Leaders Staffing's commitment to employee safety. An adventurer at heart, Tambi enjoys water sports, painting, reading, and cooking, and brings unique experiences like swimming with reef sharks to her role.

Regional Operations Manager

Taylor Harter

Taylor Harter serves as Regional Operations Manager, overseeing operations in Kendallville, Goshen, and Elkhart offices. With a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration, she focuses on building client relationships and training internal staff while implementing efficiency-improving processes. Taylor's background in the restaurant industry prepared her for the dynamic nature of staffing, where she particularly enjoys connecting with people across various industries. Her appreciation for work-life balance shows in her enjoyment of family time, reading, gaming, and creative pursuits
